Changes to my study programme

Hello and welcome back to my blog!

Today I’m going to talk about changes that I would do to my study programme as a student of visual arts.

First, I would start changing some of the subjects that I think are some type of “schedule filler”. For example, “Metodología de la creación artística” because I don’t think that it actually help.

I think that removing this subject would also give us more freetime to work on our tasks, which I think would be beneficial to many of us, besides, the length of hours to us is really heavy.

Furthermore, talking about faculty facilities, I would rebuild the faculty as a whole, due to the fact that the building is really old and the infrastructure is in a really poor condition, even the roof is made of asbesto, which is forbidden in Chile! Can you imagine it? If they are going to make us spend our entire day in there, I think we should do it at least in a better place! In fact, the classrooms needs a good ventilation sistem because we work with toxic chemicals and that affects our health.

Also, since we are in a contemporary era, I would add possibilities to work with technology, for example, the use of tablets as tools and impart a subject where you could work with digital art.

Finally, I would hire only people that studied pedagogy because some of the teachers do not have te skill to actually teach.
